Description
On March 31st around 2:30pm, two of our block captains noticed a couple of dirt bikers flying through the trails and the hill in the park. The block captains made a call to the police and within 15 minutes the police drove through the area and the dirt bikers moved on. It is unknown whether the police were able to catch up with the bikers. The motorized recreational seekers appear to be entering/exiting the park area from Tenny Street. No motorized vehicles are to be in the park which pose a risk to those using the park or potentially causing damaging city property. Unfortunately with the bikers spin through the park, they tore up some of the trails and the hill.
We have been seeing more and more motorized vehicles driving through Cavanaugh Park and generally it seems to be happening during the day time and not just weekends. There has been a red pickup truck that speeds through the park at a high rate of speed entering from Tenny Street and exiting onto Cavnaugh Road. Unfortunately no one has been able to get a good description of the truck and a license plate.

Boulders have been placed at the park entarences at Palmer St, Tenny St and Kessler Dr by the city. Still time to time 4 wheelers and mini bikes do enter into the park. They use a mound of wood chips as a ramp to jump and also some of the trails that were created by the Cavanaugh Park Neighborhood Association and have damaged them.
Also cameras have been installed on a light pole on the top of the hill (bunker hill). Not sure who and how the cameras will be monitored.
We, our neighborhood, appreciate what has been done thus far to make our neighborhood and park safer. Thank You. Sam Brewster
